The Novikov Conjecture of Hecke Pairs with Equivariant Coarse Embeddings

Abstract:
In this talk, we give a new approach to the Novikov conjecture for Hecke pairs $(\Gamma, \Lambda)$ when $\Lambda$ is coarsely embeddable into Hilbert space and the quotient space $\Gamma / \Lambda$ is $\Gamma$-equivariant coarsely embeddable into Hilbert space.
